New Year's at Disney
December 31, 2000 - January 7, 2001

Five us went down to Orlando and rented the coolest rental house with heated pool and jacuzzi. It was a whole lot of fun wandering around Disney and just goofing off.


Day 0 - The journey up and arrival!

The <i>bumfooschniggidy</i> house, AKA The Jacuzzi Jammer. 5bd-4ba with a heated pool and jacuzzi 15921 Mercott Court The entry way Lighting and skylight in the kitchen Entryway into living room Master bedroom Master bathroom, very cool! The jacuzzi. The pool. Arrival of the rest of the team! New Year's toast!


Day 1 - Epcot!

Matt's first steps into the WDW... Epcot! Spaceship Earth Nicki and Estonia in line at Spaceship Earth Ditto The girls The guys... not happy enough. Call the Goofy SS.. they need happy juice! That's better. Bright'n'sunny. Test pictures after Meg drops the camera. (Oops!) Tigger! Group photo. Group photo 2. Nicki feeding the cast-member... err... squirrel. This was supposed to look cool... but the flash drowned out the lights. Pulsating lights in the ground! Even the GROUND is cool in Epcot. The fountains. Take 2. Seahorse pictures for Estonia. Seahorse pictures for Estonia. Seahorse pictures for Estonia. Us at the Coral Reef Restaraunt (waiting room). Dessert at the Coral Reef Restaraunt. The Wave dessert... very nice! The Millenium dessert! A chocolate replica of Spaceship Earth... With raspberry champagne sorbet inside! Ooh SOOO good! (Even the confetti was edible!) Fish in the tank at the restaraunt. More fish... can't really see 'em. Yeah! Us outside the restaraunt. A really good meal! Outside the Living Seas... trying to get a picture with the crashing waves. Walking in Epcot. Blurry picture of the signs to the restaraunt. Cool sculptures you can't see. More pictures of the cool lit-up ground. These were actually like starscapes and the lights twinkled... very neat. Spaceship Earth lit up.


Day 2 - The Magic Kingdom

Day 2 at the Magic Kingdom with Cinderella's Castle. Teacup ride Doormouse! Nicki taking a picture of Meg taking a picture of... It's the hustle!... Dingo! Some more pics of the castle. Err... yeah! Day 3 - Epcot part 2

Back at Epcot. This is our get stuff done we didn't get done on Day 1 & 2 day. Barber-shop quartet on Main Street USA. Adventure-land mate! Ahh-ahh, Eee-eee, Toukki-toukki. Toukki-toukki. Toukki-toukki in coonskin hat! Dancing waters in the main Epcot fountain (to music!) A better picture at the Coral Reef Restaraunt. Dolphins... or attempts at pictures of them anyway... More fountains... Err? No idea. Off Kilter! The Epcot parade. The big wheel spins as it moves and drummer plays the drums! Nicki in darkness. A teeny-tiny German town. With teeny-tiny German people. and teeny-tiny German chickens. The brightest flamingos you'll ever see. We weren't sure they were real till they moved. More flamingos. Arnald our waiter at the French Pavillion restaraunt. Flambe crepes for Meg. Dessert... this was a FABULOUS meal! Group picture in front of the ball. This one you can actually see people. And this one is actually centered! Blurry! Walkway to the world pavilion. Giant fountain.


Day 4 - Rest Day

Our rest day! Nicki's birthday! Here's the jacuzzi with waterfall. At TGIFriday's... All the waiters (one by one) came by and tied a balloon to Nicki. Here they all are. Static electricity. The free sundae we got. The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. With a giant tree in the middle and live birds in cages. Citricos restaraunt. Pretty good, but not as good as France. Citricos... <i>Second floor, left of the orchestra</i> were the directions in the lobby.


Day 5 - Animal Kingdom

On safari in Disney's Animal Kingdom! With Rhino. Some bird... Hippos... The upside down tree which only has leaves 60 days a year! Err... grass. Err... who knows. Someone's hat! Thompson's gazelle's (tommies!) More tommies. Tommies up close! Tommies up close! Zebra More zebra Giraffes. Sabre antelope ? More sabre antelope ? Elephant! Elephant again. Walking giraffe. Baby giraffe! Zebra ass! Wildebeast, zebra and giraffes! Ostriches. I think this was some antelope that there are only like 120 left in the world! Lion. Bush Meg and Nicki being eaten by a Tyrannasaurus. Carneasaurus (sp?) skeleton. My kind of dinosaur.... plastic. Tigger! Baloo! Flamingos. Spotted antelope. Otters! Daisy Duck The Greenwood gang meets up with the Pooh gang! Hey Olvey! Greenwood and the mice! African birds. Minature swans! Giant owl! Bald eagle. More of the eagle. Macaws! The tree of life... look at the carvings all over it. Tigers, oh my! This one was pacing in front of the glass... many attempts to get a picture failed. Spherical birds! Weird.


Day 6 - MGM Studios

Outside the Rockin' Rolllercoaster! The gang... sorry about the shadows. Dude. Sweet. The muppets fountain! Mulan parade... An AT-AT Speederbike adventures! More of the AT-AT... It's cannons fired water! Crashed snow speeder. Dinner at the Sci-Fi Drive-in Diner Our champagne... 1992 Dom Perignon.


Day 7 - Departure
