Although we all like anime fans, there are other things that take up the time of the Greenwood residents and guests. Among them are the various video games that come and go through the electronic hallways of Greenwood. Many of them are tried. Few make the grade to become one of...

The Greenwood Console Games

The following games have gotten the Greenwood seal of approval. They have showed consistent playability, ability to hold interest, and are an overall good time. These games have withstood long term play and provide constant amusement. The games that have made the cut are (in no particular order):

Bust-a-Move [Playstation Dance Game, Japanese]
Have you got the rhythm to save the planet from a dancing robot? What are you? A man, or a dancing mouse? Even though some of us (ahem, Mehve) has NO rhythm, it is still a fun game to watch regardless. Addictive in an unexplainable way.

Pocket Fighter [Playstation 2D Fighting Game, Japanese]
Imagine if the Capcom universe collided and then was shrank down to cute super deformed fighting characters... make it a fighting game and you have Pocket Fighter. Mehve likes pretty much anything super deformed, and this is no exception. I mean, come on, a Super Deformed Felicia! Enough said!

Super Robot Wars [Saturn Strategy Game, Japanese]
Old and new mechs fight it out for the fate of the planet in this super deformed strategy game. There is a PSX version of this game, but the people aren't super deformed, so it's not nearly as cool. The game is actually in two parts. In the first party you fight and use Gundams of all types, Mazinger Z, Eva's, Dunbine, Dancouger, and many others. In the second part, you get things like Gunbuster! Evil forces beware, the old school mechs are coming for your evil soul! Here's some "screen shots", in both the strategic mode and when the robots fight. Plus the music from the originals shows is used during the game, which is great.

Here are some honorable mentions:
Gundam: The Battle Master (Japanese) [PSX], Sakura Taisen (Japanese) [Saturn].

(Personally, Mehve's still waiting for the ULTIMATE game... He figures it'll be Super Deformed Dancing Fighting Rapping Robot Wars II: Electric Boogaloo. (Try saying that five times fast.) A real-time multi-user strategy game with super deformed robots which then cuts to a fighting game which involves fighting, puzzles, dancing, and rapping with both old and new mechs!)
