The Past:

So what has Team Greenwood been up to recently?

DATELINEWhat happened on this date?
16 Nov/02: Yikes! Over a YEAR since the last update! Crazy. But it's a biggie... Matt and Meg Con 2002. Long-time "aren't you married yet?!" couple finally tie the knot! Congrats!

3 Nov/01: CHUDFest 2001. Our fourth annual under-appreciated horror film festival! A much smaller affair this year due to the lack of Greenwood, but a successful party anyway! Thanks to all who came!

28 Oct/00: CHUDFest 2000. It came, it saw, it kicked ass! Our third annual under-appreciated horror film festival was a success. Thanks to everyone who came! If you missed it, check out the CHUDFest 2000 page to see what you missed...

22 Jul/00: It's time again for dead animal flesh over fire. Yes... it's Greenwood's Summer Barbaque Party version 2000. Not a huge affair, but fun none-the-less. This year's Greenwood parties are now under new management, as Matt and Ryan have taken over coordination duties for the time being. Will they hold up under Pre-CHUDFest 2000 stress? Only time will tell. Well take a look, link if you like, and have fun!

31 Dec/99: Ahh! New Year's time again! The New Year's Party, with all its tradition, was held again this year. I had a good time and I hope others did as well. We had a slight Y2K bug the next day involving, apparently, a non-Y2K compliant sewage system... go figure! Unfortunately, this caused us to have to shut the water off to the house, and pretty much kick everyone out on New Years Day. Sorry to everyone involved... who would have predicted it? Anyway, I hope everyone's new year is going well after that rocky start... and just remember... the champagne was fucking Cristal!

31 Oct/99: This year we re-scheduled CHUDFest '99 to Halloween for a number of reasons. This turned out to be the right decision as CHUDFest '99 broke all records and saw the biggest turnout to a Greenwood party ever. At this rate, out microCon will soon need a convention center and a hotel in a couple of years. Can next year's top this? Only time will tell.

29 May/99: As a certain anime convention had the GALL to schedule against our 4th of July party... and since we obviously couldn't disappoint the masses by not showing up to said con... We decided for the good of everyone to move our 4th of July Party to Memorial Day and change the name to The Summer Barbaque Party: 1999! It was a great turnout this year and we had a lot of unexpected, but highly welcome guests. See what you missed!

1 Jan/99: It was time once again for Greenwood's New Year's Party! It was a big bash this year and people were here to have a good time. I believe I can safely say: Mission Accomplished!

9-11 Oct/98: Strikeman, Kenshin, and whole heaps of Greenwood's Most Wanted made it to the local anime convention: Anime Weekend Atlanta. (So where was Mehve, Greenwood's "web reporter", during all this? Partying in Italy... it was a tough choice, but it had to be made... oh, the sacrifies he makes! If he ever gets un-lazy, he may post some of the more interesting Italy pictures... Pompeii was great!)

2-4 Oct/98: The weekend of October 2nd saw two interesting things happen. This was the weekend of Nekocon Ichi. Both Kenshin and Strikeman made it to this Virginian extravaganza.

What about Mehve and some of Greenwood's Most Wanted? Well, unfortunately, Nekocon happened to have a major scheduling clash with the world famous micro-con, CHUDFest '98! This year's CHUDFest was held right in the midst of Greenwood and had an enormous (by micro-con standards) turnout. Check out the CHUDFest in all its glory.

7-9 Aug/98: Mehve made it to Otakon 98 and had a blast. He was also armed with the upgraded digital camera, a "Feel Me I'm 100% Rubber" sticker on his badge, the new Greenwood business cards, and a bunch of friends at his side. It was a great time. Check out the pictures on the Otakon page. (Mehve apologizes for the delay in getting the page up.)

4 Jul/98: Greenwood's Fourth of July party was a success. It involved some friends, some food, some drinks, and a good time. All sorts of things happened, and some was even caught on camera. Check it out on the Independence Day Party page.

?? ???/98: The fifth MegaDay of Anime (MDOA5) occurred at the University of Georgia. We visited for a short while and forgot the camera in the car... but we still got some good photos. Check them out on the MDOA 5: The Voyage Home page.

27 Feb/98: The fourth Katsucon has now come and gone and two of the Greenwood crew did con-duty. Check out the pictures on the Katsucon Pictures page.

1 Jan/98: Greenwood had its first sizeable party. We've had other large get togethers, but this was the first official party per se. It was the 1998 First Annual Greenwood New Year's Party. All the Greenwood residents agree that it was a whole lot of fun, so it will probably become a tradition.

14-17 Nov/97: We made it to the local anime con, Anime Weekend Atlanta (AWA), as well as hosting a radio show on WREK radio (GeorgiaTech Student Radio) devoted to anime music. (Check 'em out! WREK broadcasts on RealAudio, so next time if you can't pick up the station, hop on the net!)

Both events were a lot of fun and we had a blast. You can check out our (mis)adventures during our tour of duty at AWA as well as see us during our anime radio show.
